Michael E. Goodman chose to focus his private practice on criminal law, DWI/DUI defense, family law and divorce after serving as a criminal prosecutor in Texas for two years.
Mr. Goodman leads our Austin practice. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked as an educator. During his teaching days, he was frequently asked to testify in court on sensitive family matters involving his students' parents. Those experiences sparked his interest in starting a career in law, and there he found his true calling.
Cameron Cowan leads our Rockwall practice. He is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and he has tried more than 150 criminal jury trials for the full range of offenses all the way up to capital murders.
Mr. Cowan served 15 years as a criminal prosecutor in Kaufman County, Hunt County and Lubbock County, and he is a former first assistant criminal district attorney. He also served more than eight years as a U.S. Army JAG Corps reservist, providing legal counseling and services, including estate planning, to thousands of soldiers and retired military personnel and their dependents.
